So ... Finding Faith?

I know. I know. ... A weighty and intimate topic! ... Or does it have to be?

My name is Devlyn Brooks. ... I am a husband, father, son, brother, intern pastor, seminarian and media professional. ... Sometimes exactly in that order. But often times all at once. No, seriously.

But, where to start? ... Hmmm ...

Well, this particular story gets its start about four years ago when I shared with my wife, Shelley, that I felt a call to go to seminary. It was a call that I had put off for a good two decades, but the kids were older now, and I felt God calling me to be a pastor. ... Really? ... Yes, really. That sort of thing happens, and that is why I want to explore this with you. On this blog. To share our stories about finding faith in the everyday happenings in our lives, and to help us make sense of the world around us.

That's a loft goal, I know. But if there's been one thing I have learned on the faith journey the past four years, is that nothing in the realm of faith is impossible. ... So join me on this journey, won't you?
